Who we are
This website is run by County Wine Festivals Limited, trading as County Wine Festivals. Company number 17304751. Registered office: 1 The A J M Centre, Prospect Business Park, Prospect Way, Swanage, England, BH19 1FE.
For privacy questions, email the data officer at office@countywinefestivals.co.uk. We do not name an individual unless the law requires it. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer.
County Wine Festivals Limited is in the process of registering with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
The registered office is not the festival venue. The RNLI College in Poole is hired for the event only.
What we collect
For now we only collect what you send through the website contact and enquiry forms, or by emailing office@countywinefestivals.co.uk.
On Contact, Exhibit and Sponsor that is:
- first name and surname
- email address
- organisation, if you give one
- your message
On the ticket newsletter form (Home, About and Venue) and the Masterclass interest form that is your email address and a confirmation that you are 18 or over and that you acknowledge this privacy policy.
We do not sell tickets on this website yet. When we do, the ticket platform’s privacy notice will apply to that purchase. We do not take payments on this website.
We do not run customer accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. We do not collect health, disability or allergy information through this website.
How we use it
We use this information to reply to you and, where you have asked to hear from us, to send festival updates from the same inbox. There is no separate newsletter tool on this version of the site. You can ask us to stop using your email by writing to office@countywinefestivals.co.uk.
We rely on your request (a contract step or legitimate interest in answering an enquiry) and, for updates you asked for, consent you can withdraw.
Forms and email
Forms are hosted on Netlify Forms, set up by Wedgwood Digital. Enquiry forms pass through a check that empty or invalid posts are not stored. Notifications go to office@countywinefestivals.co.uk. You can also email that address directly. We do not offer a public phone number or walk-in desk.
Cookies and analytics
The site needs a small number of cookies to run, including those used to send a form. We do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, advertising pixels or embedded social widgets.
Visitor statistics use Umami. It is cookieless and anonymised. It does not set an analytics cookie.
We use Google Search Console to see how the site appears in Google Search. That does not place a tracking script on these pages.
The venue map uses Leaflet with CARTO tiles over OpenStreetMap. It is not Google Maps and it does not collect form data.
Because this stack does not set optional tracking cookies, we do not show a cookie-consent banner. If we later add Google Analytics, Hotjar or a similar tool, we will update this page and add a banner.
Social media
We have Facebook and LinkedIn pages. Instagram is not published yet. Facebook and LinkedIn also appear in the footer. They do not embed a feed or set a pixel. Following a link takes you to that platform, which has its own privacy notice.
Who else sees it
Personal data from the site may be seen by:
- the directors of County Wine Festivals Limited
- Wedgwood Digital, who build and host the website with us
- Netlify, who store form submissions and host the site
- IONOS, who provide the domain and the office mailbox
- Umami, for anonymised visit statistics
- Google, for Search Console only
An accountant may see business records that include contact details. We will name further providers (for example a mailing tool or a ticket platform) when we start using them.
Data outside the UK
Netlify is based in the United States. Form data may be processed outside the UK. Where that happens, we expect the provider to use the UK’s approved transfer tools, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Google Search Console may also involve processing outside the UK.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for up to seven years. Emails used for festival updates are kept until you ask us to stop. Analytics follow Umami’s default retention. Ticket records, when they exist, will follow the platform plus seven years for accounts.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to some uses. Email the data officer at office@countywinefestivals.co.uk. We aim to reply within five working days.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Search for ICO on GOV.UK.
Changes
We will update this page when the site starts selling tickets, collecting new types of data, or using new tools. The date at the top will change.
